“I think the problem with this is all is that some people are far too dependent on it…They think that just because they put 100 yen into a box and hope, everything’ll turn out okay. While belief of something is needed in everyone’s heart, you can’t solely rely on something like that. As you said, effort needs to be put into what you want as well; if we just wished for things and hoped, we’d all still be running around in armor with katanas and horses, screaming at everyone we come across and hoping for battle.” Vincent nodded, understanding exactly what Akihiko was talking about in this instance; quite rare for him.
“Effort needs to be put in as well as hope; if you have both, then you can achieve anything.” The conversation between the two had gotten deeper than Vincent had expected, but it was nice to have an intelligent conversation with someone for once. It was rare the boxer and kendo-fighter got to hang out like this, so a nice conversation was rare to go along with it.
With a smile he continued to dig into the free meal, noting down in his mind to pay Akihiko back later whether he liked it or not. “Clean, huh? Maybe it’s like Koromaru and has an owner, but roams the shrine now as something to do.” The bluenette suggested, rubbing at his chin and thinking for a moment. “Maybe we’ll just have to find out from Koro, he usually answers questions in the way he best can; Maybe we’ll take in another dog into the dorm.” Vincent joked, leaning back on the bendch and relaxing his back.
The sudden aggression toward Junpei’s actions took Vincent off guard, almost falling off the bench from surprise. It was a wonder Akihiko hadn’t killed his perverted buddy yet, considering the amount of crap he always put SEES through. “That sounds like Junpei alright…at least that means he’s gotten over everything that happened lately, back to his old self and such.” He added, gulping a little and being much happier when the upperclassman returned to his calm mood.
“Yeah, I understand that Officer Kurosawa’s helping us, but he doesn’t even understand why we need help…To him it’s probably just some weird Kirijo family business that needs to be attended to.”

❝ Yeah. If a miracle that big happens, we wouldn’t be at Tartarus. ❞
The thought of fighting in helmet, armor and katanas instantly came into Akihiko’s mind, kicking his imagination into high gear. The history lesson he had not too long ago helped a lot. But screaming at everyone and hoping for battle sounds awfully like the blobs of Shadows he face every time in the Dark Hour at Tartarus.
❝ Definitely. Don’t have hope and things will be half-assed and don’t have effort and things won’t happen either. ❞
He just wanted to say that for some reason. The upperclassman in him just made him say those words coolly, though in the end, they are lengthy empty words. Besides, a conversation with someone that isn’t his year and not Iori is rare and greatly appreciated.
❝ It looks too young to climb down the stairs. ❞
Or at least that’s how it is when Akihiko last saw the dog. The shrine’s steps isn’t as steep as Akihiko wanted, but there are many many steps, especially for a small puppy. And while Akihiko likes to think so, not all dogs are like the heroic Koromaru. Another dog in the dorm would probably not a good idea, especially if it is not a Persona user. He didn’t realize it was a joke but shrugged it off as something to ponder later on.
The other’s reminder on being himself again made Akihiko less irritated by the Magician’s actions. That’s right, that girl meant tons of things to that boy but it still vexed the boxer in the end. This isn’t the time for this! Romance and girls at a time like this? Well, not that it’s that bad as long as the girl knows what’s going on.
❝ Tutor Iori if you have the time… ❞
He wanted to say more but talking about Iori too much would just make him sound like Mitsuru. Or worst, a mother fussing over someone. But he’s only thinking for the team, since Mitsuru isn’t going to be too happy with anyone with poor grades.
❝ He isn’t aware of the full story, but he do know something’s up. But it’s true he may not truly know why we need help, he’s does it for a safe place here. Think about it, Arisato. He’s a policeman. He wants Port Island to be safe. ❞
