Where and when was your character born or created?
Created at Hashima Island, I.A.N. is not legal in many ways. His Creator, Aki Shinigami, used an elaborate combination of science and magic, to the point no one really know what he is or how he is made, and if anyone tried to sense him, they would get nothing or if one checks his composition they would get one that is similar to a corpse. His thoughts cannot be read by neither telepathy or empathy, as if he was really dead.
Just an empty shell controlled by something.
I.A.N. is currently under an alias of Yoshida Ueno (上野 吉田), but people call him Ian anyway due to majority of the people he meets are English speaking tourists.
He host tour groups that visits Hashima, an abandoned island as well as a mysterious building located in that island. Compared to other buildings in the island, which is in tatters, this one seem as if it was built some time after the island was abandoned.
How was growing up for your character?
Having created from a freshly deceased body, I.A.N. didn’t really have much of a childhood. That manage to leave him really socially awkward aside from professionally hosting an exhibition or location.
You can consider I.A.N. a lot like the Velvet Room Attendants from the Persona series whose childhoods are virtually unknown to the point there might be none.
Does your character reflect their parent’s or guardian’s beliefs, or do they have their own set of principals?
Contrary to popular beliefs, I.A.N. does not follow any robotic laws.
But, he held onto this one belief.
Protect the building he hosts and terminate with extreme prejudice if they have intent to take down the building or Hashima Island itself. Why this reasoning exist, nobody knows.
Is your character religious or not? How much of an impact does this have on their life?
Not at all, he knows of religion as if it is written on a book. He finds it amusing on some people hold onto a religion so strongly to the point it made some of them look really close minded. One religion he doesn’t mind practicing would be Shintoism as of the majority, he follow this religion loosely.
Is romance a difficult topic for your character to think about?
A lot like stated from religion, the A.I. only know of romance as stated from a book.
He doesn’t mind romance from any gender as long they guide them and even so, it’s hard since he is a gray-romantic. Currently, he held an interest of someone he couldn’t get a clear reading on, and a prince from a medieval era.
Don’t bother trying to get him to be intimate with you, the Host is autochorissexual. The further you will get is a kiss or any form of non-penetrative act.
Does your character have a reputation? What is it?
He is known as that weird host that entertain people whenever they visits the abandoned island. He is also known as the person who protest against those who wants to rebuild Hashima, saying that the island should be left this way as a reminder that we should appreciate our property more and not abandoning them so that it won’t end up like Hashima Island did after almost 40 years of being abandoned..
Your character’s greatest victory? Their most bitter defeat?
Perhaps that one time he solved a 15 figures equation faster than his computer did?
As for defeat, let’s just say that one time he lost his cool and nearly killed someone.
Their battle style? Are they a pacifist?
I.A.N. prefers to avoid battles, but if forced to, like someone attacks him, he tend to raise an impenetrable shield. Though impenetrable, it can be shattered until repetitive brute force.
Though on fighting for the sake of the building he host, fast, deadly, merciless and with prejudice.
A quest your character has for anyone who asks for one?
Safely moving things from Tokyo, Osaka and Nagasaki to Hashima without damage and a time-limit would be set, depending on the location, it’s an hour to 8 hours.
