Where and when was your character born or created?
Born in the 90s, Skye is conceived by a couple forbidden by their own kinds respectively. It’s common sense that a witch musn’t fall in love with a warlock and that a warlock musn’t regain their humanity out of love, and yet they did by putting aside their differences.
Skye was unplanned though when conceived. Or else he wouldn’t inherit their powers after his parents bound theirs.
How was growing up for your character?
If one asks Skye about his childhood, he will say he couldn’t remember much, especially his early childhood. That seem to be a very blank slate to him. He couldn’t remember anything before the year 2001 until now thanks to his magical aptitude locking itself up.
His childhood past 2001 is pretty plain as well, his imagination fueled by his parents experiences, masked as stories and fairy tales, of course, his father didn’t share much of those, as if he could share that time where he brutally murdered a demon to his son.
Does your character reflect their parent’s or guardian’s beliefs, or do they have their own set of principals?
Skye didn’t do that at all. Or perhaps he did reflect them later on. At first, Skye’s parents each work for their kind, and then when Skye happened and that they desire to build a family, they decided to relinquish their magic and their affinity. This is enforced further still by Skye abruptly losing his powers and memories of magic.
Even with the powers he possess now. Skye held onto their parents’ beliefs on not siding with magic anymore for the sake of a peaceful life, though demonic bounty hunters have other plans in mind for him.
Is your character religious or not? How much of an impact does this have on their life?
Not really, though Skye held some loose beliefs on Shintoism. Though he treats any Wiccan related things as if it is knowledge more than of a religion due to his powers.
Is romance a difficult topic for your character to think about?
Surprisingly, no. Skye has dated more than one person before for each gender and he faced all kinds of break ups along the way. Betrayal from cheating, drifting apart, people only wanting something about you in a relationship, he have all that.
Right now, however, he only have his focus on Evan.
As for sex… well… he had done it before, he had lost his virginity before to a girl and he had done it before with a guy, but he hadn’t really bottomed yet. Though that is soon to be changed.
Does your character have a reputation? What is it?
Under normal circumstances, he’s just a coffee shop worker in Japan with a weird name, but in the magical community, Skye is starting to be well known to be the ultimate potential and worth a lot of bounty in the demonic world.
The scale would tip for sure if someone manage to get a hold on Skye’s powers. Destiny can be turned against, using him.
Your character’s greatest victory? Their most bitter defeat?
He actually manage to get rid of a few powerful demonic bounty hunters though those hunters were underestimating him and Skye got lucky.
A witch also nearly manage to kill him. This time, luck was on her side.
He also balanced out the good he did by killing those demonic bounty hunter with the bad of accidentally exterminating the witch while he can prevent killing her by stalling and escaping. He didn’t mean to kill her, but it’s either him or her.
Defeat means death to Skye, and he had yet to die, severely injured, yes, by that witch. She’s as powerful as he is too… and Skye let his guard down when he is with her since he kind of have a romantic interest towards her.
It’s one sided though, since she only want him so that she could kill him.
Their battle style? Are they a pacifist?
Skye is fighting for self-defense. Anything to survive.
His tactic is mostly slowing down his enemy with Molecular Deceleration and then try to escape. The effects of his slow magic varies per person but lasts from 2 to 15 seconds. Some magical beings are immune to it while other adapt to it, making it less effective per cast. He can teleport through shredding, but some people can disable that.
A wound can prevent him from shredding.
If escape is impossible, he’ll resort to vanquishing potions and telekinesis. And if he really is cornered, Advanced Telekinesis kicks in that will blow off everyone and everything around him away, leaving a mile gap between them. It is also capable of squashing someone if they are blown onto a building. Though it have adverse effect on him using that.
A quest your character has for anyone who asks for one?
Probably help on writing spells like something that rhymes with a word, or helping him make a haiku. And also finding the ingredients to brew a potion. Some ingredients are simple and can be found in a grocery store..
