” thanks” Alice mumbled as she took a sip from water cup. Her voice was hoarse and her throat was dry. It wasn’t the first time a spirit tried to take over her, but this time was different. This spirit was older than anything she ever sensed. It was incredible desperate to be a live again.
She took out all the charm papers and placed some of them on the door. they were supposed withstand the spiritual pressure for a few hours.
” I am not sure the will hold out for long.” Her charms weren’t designed for a haunted place this intense. She needed to find another way to protect them.
” you said you could use magic, right? I have a book of protection spells. I was wondering if you could do one. A protection spell will certainly last more than my charms.” Her knowledge of magic was limited and she never really succeeded in performing a protection spell. She placed the book in front of Skye and waited for his reply

Skye replied as the other took a sip of water. He saw mediums channeling spirits before, and some are half as violent as the one he had just witnessed. Though this one is much more severe. Was the spirit that the other tried to channel malevolent? Probably, if it can turn a medium green in the face.
The boy saw the other taking out more charmed papers and it seem to be everywhere. The medium said it won’t hold out for long, and her words seem to be the truth.
Already, some of the old ones were yellowing… and he could see that the spirits angered as the tried to cross between carriages but couldn’t thanks to the charms. He was then given a book and Skye flipped it open.

They might even backfire which is why Skye isn’t too eager to cast them despite spell casting being one of his best out of his three basic powers. But a spell do last longer than a blessed charms and Skye can vouch that from that one incidence. Not that Skye have much experience in magic, but he knows a few things. And some control on his powers.
He begins to research the book… perhaps the other could tell him where the book is from. For a spell to work, he needs to read it out with the pronunciation as accurate as possible.
