Follow them? Well, Syn supposes that’s not necessarily a bad option. Plus they’re in broad daylight in a busy city; less chance of the other acting up and squirreling them away.
Experimentally, Syn tries to clear their throat with as small a sound as possible—they don’t want a conversation about why won’t you just use your voice and why don’t you talk—are you mute? and having to explain, but they do want to make sure their voice is still there. Just in case they have to yell or anything.
[ …Okay. ] is their answer, but not before giving the other a guarded look that they hope conveys “I wouldn’t try any funny business if I were you”, and secretly they think god they should’ve taken their mother and sister up on those self-defense lessons.
But they do really want to check out their games again, so it’s with an inward sigh and a prayer that they won’t end up in any danger that they agree, since they…really don’t know how to get around.
[ But I don’t think_ ]
Not how robots talk, Syn thinks, frowning, before shrugging and continuing on their message. Their robot-ness is in themself, not the way they speak. Besides, they communicate electronically. That’s robotic enough.
[ I’m not supposed to follow strangers, though. ]
Just to inform the other clearly that they’re not totally clueless.

It isn’t a bad option if they didn’t get lost as the result, right? If it weren’t for a navigation system within him, he would have a really hard time on navigating around Tokyo…
Why would Ian squirrel the other way anyway? What good would that bring him? He looked at the other attentively as they cleared their throat. It somehow remained a habit as a Host being attentive to their Visitors on whatever they have to say and clearing their throat is the best way to get noticed by him, though excessively doing that annoys Ian.
⁅ Alright then, please follow me. We’ll be taking a detour to Shinjuku first, then return here to transit to Akihabara. Is that fine with you…? ⁆
Ian left his words hanging in the air. He couldn’t be sure what to refer to the person he’s taking along with? They look feminine, but… he’ll let the other decide on how he would identify them. He is aware of those people who aren’t of a binary gender, but his Creator didn’t really have that in mind when building the AI’s programming.
Oh, it seems the other have more to say. He observe the other’s fingers as they type on their phone, judging by the keystrokes, Ian have a generic idea on what they are about to say before the other way done, but waited anyway as in not to surprise the other.
Right, he didn’t introduce himself.
⁅ I’m Ian. A pleasure to meet you. And as of now, we are acquaintances, so as soon as you are ready, we’ll begin our journey. ⁆
He didn’t have all day, however, so he’s only willing to wait for the other to an extent.
