Midst of the heat
Quickly?
Violently? A sad thing to hear that they operated in the same category, at least, so she thought to herself, Because to hear the words spoken out, was different that to see it with her own eyes. It had always been different, and it would always be as well. Actions said more than words to her, because actions happened, and words was merely words. It would’ve actually been fun to see what he could do, Jeanne thought to herself.
Jeanne glanced up at the teen (at least what she thought was the teen), «You saw a gun, alright. I always carry one with me when I go out.» I only want to survive. He wanted to survive? Kids usually did survive. Didn’t they?
«Boy,» she mumbled as she tilted her head, keeping her eye on his form, «both of us want to do that.» A click signified that the gun was secured, and she put it away again beneath her black sweater, covering it up again as if it had never been there.
The next part which came up, caused her eyes to blink and eyebrows to frown in confusion, because he spoke of things belonging to fiction; things she had merely read about in adventure novels. Astral body? Wasn’t this ▬ ?
«?? ▬» The hit(wo)man turned towards the voice as the other figure faded, and once again she et the sight of the young man she believed she had spoke to a mere minute ago, but, he looked different — «Are you okay? You don’t look so good there.»
«Do I need to fetch you some water?» Whatever she was dealing with, she still kept her head cold, because, at the moment, the teen didin’t look so fresh, at all. And she didn’t need anyone fainting on her today.

Speed is needed to dodge those magical projectile and cast your own quickly.
Power is needed to kill the demons efficiently and make sure they stay down.
That’s the creed of the participants of a battle, especially with magic involved.
Skye would probably want to fix up his endurance in the near future. Astral projection sure takes a lot of energy, and to have both bodies conscious at the same time too. Skye is aware that words doesn’t mean much to many, and it means very little when defending yourself again demonic bounty hunters. It’s the action that counts. The fact you have vanquished them or fled from them. The action that brings effects is what matters.
He felt like he had split his brain into half as he interact with the lady in his astral body while remaining vigilant on his physical body. He heard that even for the most experienced users, this can be exhausting at times and Skye is far from experienced when it comes to this.
Skye only nodded in agreement. Being hunted leads you to prioritize survival out of all things, it’s only the instinct of a mortal. Hearing a click from the gun made him trust the lad more, though he still doesn’t trust her completely.
Holding against the wall upon revealing his true location and form, Skye feel weary for only a short while. As energy and might returns, he stood up straight, his jacket a little wrinkled up from the hybrid leaning against the wall for support. He still feel really weary though.
Skye nodded his head in reply to the hitwoman’s first question. He’s fine for now, it’s just the immediate effect of an inexperienced usage of astral projection. It took a minute or two for him to fully recover, and the effects isn’t permanent.

「 ⁅ It’s fine. Thank you. ⁆ 」
He felt like he had ran a lap around a large park, except he didn’t feel the pump from exercising. He gave the hitwoman a small smile, an appreciative one, for putting away her weapon. He seem tired, but not enough to collapse at any moment.
