The self-named robot looks up from their gaming console, line of vision going from the book left behind on the previously-occupied seat to the stranger, now exiting the train.
Having already connected the pieces, the gears in their mind now run furiously, wildly—call out, or chase after them…? They can do both, but of course, they’re more partial to not using their voice.
In one moment they bolt up from their seat and grab the book, ignoring how their seat’s already been honed in on by another, bursting from the doors just as they close.
Well, that was quite the spectacle—Syn wishes they hadn’t made a scene, but it could’ve been worse, they suppose. Fingers grab onto the sleeve of the stranger before they can go any further, tugging insistently, almost scared they’ll leave now, after what the robot’s done to get the damn book back to them.
And there it is, starting from Shibuya, to Harajuku, then Yoyogi and finally on their way to Shinjuku, Ian mused to himself as he watched the passengers of Yamanote line exited to Harajuku while some remained, probably to the next stop or the one after. Ian didn’t have clear details on Harajuku Station but Shinjuku Station have a lot of people passing by every year, and this year is no exception. But frankly, any JR line is bursting with people along with the stations.
Sometimes it’s peaceful despite the amount of people, this is one of those moments. Reading a book, with no one too close to him or anyone in the train talking away to their phones loudly, the AI reads his book with content written in his expressions.
Time just seem to pass so quickly. Already they are at Yoyogi Station, though Ian isn’t really leaving the train yet till Shinjuku, but he put his book down and checked his agenda instead, which to anyone other than Ian, looks as if he had spaced out or day dreaming while the AI was really just checking his schedule for today.
Though, the only thing today is a batch of customers later in the evening and picking up food supplies at Shinjuku… and that seems to be it. The food supplies is merely just a few bags of food that Ian can handle. As he reached the station, Ian departs, forgotten his book in his haste. Tokyo is a metropolis full of hustle and bustle after all.
Just as Ian crossed the path from the train to the platform, he heard yet another common announcement as he felt his sleeve being tugged at. He turned around as he listened to the announcement and he glanced at the other. When did the other get a hold onto his book?
Oh… he left it at the train! This isn’t the first time though for that to happen. He had books returned to him by kind people though they seem to never use Ian’s first address. Did everyone really didn’t believe that Hashima Island is empty?
Well, never mind that. He thank the other, though is the other’s destination here as well?
Or are they transferring to another line? Ian didn’t know, but it wouldn’t hurt to ask.
⁅ Are you transferring to another line? This is Shinjuku Station. ⁆
