❝ So if you planned to leave in two days time, you would have to set this code now…? ❞
He could understand that much at least, from what he’d said so far. Denzyl just didn’t like the idea of having to let him go so soon. Unfortunately he had no right to keep Ian here or any reason to that weren’t his own selfish desires, and even his position as a prince couldn’t help him. With a hushed sigh, he finally rolled off of the other to lay beside him and stared up at the ceiling.
The Necromancer would be alone again soon.
❝ If you wish to return already then I won’t stop you — ❞
That was a stupid thing to say. How many times had the A.I. said that he had been sent here for a reason? Too many to count, and sure — neither of them knew what that reason was, but Denzyl already knew that Ian didn’t plan on going back until he’d found out and done what he was supposed to do. Pissed off with himself he turned away again, facing the opposite way to Ian. Stupid. And he’d mentioned his home, too. This didn’t bode well for the young prince’s emotional state.
Calm down.
❝ There is no place I can call my home, and there never will be. There are no places that welcome me, and I am almost certain that I have no place to return to. No matter where I go, I will not be missed; nor will I be welcomed again. Thus is the life of someone such as myself. ❞
If it wasn’t obvious, his mood had dampened considerably once again, and it would take a miracle to raise his spirits fully. If there were ever any sensitive topics, it would be these — but it wasn’t often he reacted in such a way. More often than not, he would hide this kind of information.
It didn’t cheer him up as much as it should have, but he gave light laughter in response to his words. It made him remember he wasn’t quite human as well.
❝ You are perfect the way you are, Ian, without added experience and improvements. But I understand what you mean. ❞
…Ah, and there was the one topic he could talk about all day but rarely did so. Death. That was treading on thin ice, but since it was Ian talking about such things, it wasn’t too much of a bother. After all, this boy wasn’t really alive in the first place.
Since he was facing away from the other, Denzyl had missed any expressions or actions he may have shown. The prince closed his eyes, willing his own emotions to calm down before he continued, but didn’t turn back.
❝ People tend to prefer newer things. Humans don’t understand the concept of treasuring things unless it is something dear to them. What might mean a lot to one person will mean nothing to a hundred more. ❞
And then he opened his eyes again, turning back for the briefest of moments to catch a glimpse of his companion.
❝ Judging by what you have said, these things mean a lot to you. ❞
His heart was already beating so hard against his chest from every small movement and sound they made. Being just the two of them, it was easy to hear everything, after all. Evan wondered if his partner could hear just how much his heart raced and wanted to know if Skye was feeling the same thing. He was, wasn’t he? Otherwise those small moments when he heard his breathing pattern changing wouldn’t make much sense.
That reaction wasn’t expected. This close to each other it was impossible not to feel the way he shuddered, and Evan found himself swallowing nervously. From what he knew, this was a a positive reaction and it meant he liked it. His lips ghosted over soft skin, teasing just a bit longer than he had intended to, and he tugged on his hair gently to see if that would do anything.
For someone who was new to everything they were doing, there was no stopping this boy from wanting to try more things and just have Skye for himself; fighting the temptation to just skip right to the sex bit as much as he was enjoying this. Learning new things about each other was perfectly fine and he loved that. Just as much as he loved the guy he was with right now. Grip tightened when he thought about it, and he kissed Skye’s neck again; this time lingering a bit longer and sighing in content. But he still wanted every inch of Skye more than anything at that moment. Hands pressed against his own back were comforting, despite the fact he knew that he was exposed and his words confirmed what he thought.
Evan held on tighter in response and pulled his hair again before closing his mouth over the gap between his neck and collarbone, gently sucking at first. He would increase the pressure to leave a mark eventually, but there was still a sense of uncertainty around him. From the looks of it, Skye knew more about these things than he did, and judging by previous words, he already knew what he liked whereas Evan was only sure of his neck being a weakness. Which meant that Skye was Evan’s first for almost everything but the other had more experience than him. It hardly bothered him really, if he was being truthful, but he was more aware of the possibility of doing something wrong.
With a small sucking sound, he peeled himself away to answer.
❝ You’ll need a really thick scarf by the time I’m done with you — ❞
His voice came out a bit too rough sounding for his liking, but if Skye thought he’d leave it at one mark, he was wrong there. Closing his eyes he gradually relocated both of his arms so that they were wrapped around his torso, fingers tracing random patterns on his back as he spoke with a hint of a smile.
❝ …I haven’t got a problem with that. No one else is going to look at my back except you, right? ❞
And with that been said, he returned to his previous action and teased the same spot of his neck with his tongue before sucking more harshly.
Desire, the root of actions.
― ⁅ Yes, that’s correct. It takes a very long time to recreate the code by decompressing and decryption of the encrypted code and then, process the code and to initiate the code as well as executing it. It’s very complicated and risky. ⁆ ―
It seems the other rolled off him and the other doesn’t seem too happy about that. He had yet to even initiate the very top line of the code and the other is acting as if he is about to leave. That’s amusing to the AI. However, the other’s outbreak didn’t and put the Host in a less than pleasant mood.
― ⁅ Did I ever within all of our conversations said something that expresses a desire to return? ⁆ ―
The AI believed his Creator had sent him here for a reason, no matter how unspecified it is, surely he’ll find out at some point even if it take years being in the past. History isn’t as recorded as it is right now. So he can afford to stay here for an extended amount of time without changing it too much. Probably won’t return until he figured out the vague reason and executed the necessary actions. He frowned as he saw the other’s mood turned sour. He can tell, even if the other isn’t facing him. This man has a castle…
And he’s gotten upset over a mention of home?
― ⁅ There’s two definition when it comes to a home. First definition is the one we all know, a place where one lives permanently. Especially as a member of a family, or in some cases, a household. Second definition is the less common one, the other definition of a home is an institute for people needing professional care and supervision. In your circumstances, it’s up to you to declare your home as the first or the second as the right one, even if both are considered correct in your situation. ⁆ ―
It seems Ian had locked up his emotions and turned to logic upon the other’s words at the moment. The AI may have said that he is unable to control his emotions, though with the right circumstances, he is able to temporarily lock them out. After all, mild emotions can be repressed either by psychological means, will, or by chemical means.
Is the other trying to console him when it comes to his lack of control over his emotions? Base on the other’s words and perhaps the experiences of others and his own, some strong emotions are extremely hard to control. It is still the AI's assumptions, probably accurate.
― ⁅ Hmm… one with talent but no skill is just the sameas one with skill but without talent. Some have perfection without experience while some earn perfection. ⁆ ―
Their other conversation seems to hit a brighter note. A good thing to reserve for a later time. With each facing the other's back, now seem to be a less than unlikely time to create a proper bond.
― ⁅ True. It’s quite possible that it went unappreciated until it ceased to exist. This very principle applies to people as well. The sorrow they feel once they died or gone. ⁆ ―
Oh, it seem the other turned around, though this time, Ian have neither a smile or a frown to express to the other. Just a neutral expression shown to the other as he faced the Host.
― ⁅ It does mean quite a lot to me. ⁆ ―
Skye may not have enhanced hearing, but he didn’t need it to know that the other’s heart is racing like crazy. He pulled the prank against the other to calm the other down, but it ended up leading to things to make them tense and excited, and it's the good kind of excitement. Um… euphoria, isn’t it? Skye is feeling that intensely right now. They should relax a little, shouldn’t they? This feel a little too tense.
Relax, right? But he find it harder to do so as of now. Same goes for the other with that nervous swallowing. He moved closer against the other as the other teased him with a kiss that isn’t even a kiss. Just a light tug on the hair, it hurts but nothing much, really. It did however, managed to get a small whimper out of the boy.
For someone who have done this before, this isn’t too new for Skye, but it sure is different touching an older male than a girl, a lot different. The body shape, the texture of the skin, the other is also taller than him as well. The other’s voice in a different octave, not that Skye mind. Having been someone with a normal sex drive, and not really a big fan of foreplay, it took all Skye have to not be selfish and go straight at the other completely. The feeling they had. It’s not just a crush along with friendship, right? It’s love, yeah, Skye believed it's that. Everything they are doing right now, it doesn’t just pleasures, it makes him happy too. Fortunately, it’s mutual Skye hope. Evan doesn’t seem like the guy to get cold feet, but the paranoia is still there within Skye.
Despite all that, deep down, Skye still can’t fully trust the other completely. Call it paranoia, but the other, no matter how mortal he seems, Skye is still ready to strike an attack the moment the other launches any form of magical attack. He let out a mild groan as the other tugged his hair harder, as well as the suction on his neck by the other’s mouth. It was his first time on this kind of experience, but at least he knows more about this more than the other, it’s just that this is the first time he’s one the receiving end of a hickey… which Skye can’t really pinpoint on how he feels about this. Pleased? Fear? Relief? He don’t know. Perhaps a mixture of them.
Holding on tight against on another, Skye feel tempted to scratch the other again.
「 ⁅ We’re not doing this on anytime that isn’t winter, got that? ⁆ 」
He have a good reason too. Can’t exactly wear a scarf on summer now, can they? Guessing from the other’s words, he probably need that thick scarf that he never use. Not to gain heat, but rather cover up his neck and to prevent those soon to be made hickeys be in anyone’s sight, especially from his relatives.
「 ⁅ True… you better not strip during your job then. ⁆ 」
Skye smirked, then frowned. If people saw that, girls might fawn over Evan over a badly scratched back… but all that turned into a louder whimper upon the other’s actions.
