Leadership wasn’t Yosuke’s strong point, but he wasn’t completely helpless in the matter. While he was better at playing second in command, he did possess the ability to put things together and look at the big picture. Unfortunately he also had the tendency to let people walk all over him, which was one reason he looked up to Yu so much. When Yosuke faltered, Yu was there to pick up the slack.
But Yu wasn’t with them now, and Yosuke needed to figure something out before Kanji’s Shadow assumed full control of the teen. What would happen then? Could that even happen? Kanji was strong, but everyone had darkness within their own hearts, and the more it grew the weaker a person became. If he was facing something strong enough to draw his Shadow back out, then it wasn’t just some passing concern.
“Kanji…I really don’t know what to do. This never happened to any of us before, but…but if you think we have to go i-in there—y’know, the TV world?—then…well, I’ll go with you.”
When it comes to leadership, perhaps Kanji is the worst if Teddie is excluded. Sure he can teach people to ski and knit and even cook in some cases, but when it comes to organizing a party or being a strategist in a group, Kanji is better off being a follower and helping out, hence why he held admiration on the elder males in the team for their capability in leadership, not that Kanji is willing to admit that. And of course Yosuke is only good at parties and fun events or so it seems… since that’s the only time his leadership shines.
Though now Yu isn’t here, and it’s up to Yosuke to play the cards now. Kanji will try his best to help in this situation, but it’s his problem and perhaps a lot more than he can deal without his Persona. But he came here last time without it, didn’t he? This time he have Yosuke… and maybe he really can help out despite his expressions that Kanji remembered seeing whenever Yosuke went to his place.
It’s just a bathhouse to Kanji and nothing more, but perhaps the other was just thinking too much.
If his Shadow managed to attain full control, Kanji wouldn’t know what to do. He felt the Shadow’s anger, or rather rage and it’s even stronger than the last time he faced him.
❝ Thanks for helping me, senpai… ❞
He didn’t want to talk much as of now, who knew if the Shadow decided to continue his sentences next… but still, silence doesn’t really fit Kanji at all. He wondered if they should just jump into the TV in Yosuke’s house, or the TV at Junes?
If they jump here, they might end up in another location as their starting point unlike Junes, but it will probably take a while to go to Junes…
