Why are there so many people hating on people who aren’t blogging about the issues in Ferguson.
We are not remaining ignorant, don’t you dare assume that we do not care. Has it occurred to you that some people go to this site as a way to enjoy themselves, especially most RP blogs like myself?
Don’t be jackasses, it’s not your blog, keep your attitude to yourself. It makes me very angry to see people saying things like
“Stop anime blogging and focus on whats happening”
“It helps when people unfollow me because of this so we can sort of the trash”
“Don’t blog. Remain ignorant.”
Do me a favor and SHUT UP
I’m just gonna say the exact same thing.
Don’t ever assume that we do not care, even if we aren’t from the United States.
For those who think America is the only one who get this problem, then I have news for you. The United States isn’t the only multi-ethnic country and yes, while not every country is multi-ethnic, a large chunk of the world still is that even if you think they aren’t like Japan and China, which while they consider themselves as one nation, they still have more than one ethnic group and even if they aren’t multi-ethnic, they are at least multi-cultural.
You want some countries that you know of? Canada is considered a multi-cultural nation. Malaysia and Singapore are multi-ethnic countries and their modern history emphasizes it. Philippines is well know for being a multi-ethnic just as well as Malaysia. A lot of places to list.
I’m not trying to downplay this thing because the harsh truth is that the guy as a member of a police force, shot a boy dead. This is serious thing. But, even if it is serious…
We still have our right to run the blog in whatever fashion we want.
I mean, this is a roleplay blog and we are a roleplay community. If we are really worried about this, then we would move to our personal blog and post stuff about that there or at least tag it if we don’t have a personal blog to post these kind of things.
We are here to relax, to enjoy. Not to be reminded again and again about world news. Hence why we won’t post this kind of thing here as a roleplaying blog. Respect that, shall we? Or are you guys that blinded by rage and lost the ability to respect others?
It’s not just angering people, you could also made people feel guilty and sad with this…
Like what that mun said earlier on, here’s a few guilt-tripping sentences.

Excuse me, this is a roleplay blog, we aren’t the kind to ramble about world news.

Not reblogging things doesn’t exactly mean ignorance at things. They may be very well aware but chose not to post it.

This is just plain… stupid. I have no other words than stupid for this statement. This is some serious news that is triggering to some as well. I think they are better off not following anyone who says this.
tl;dr: keep this kind of thing to yourself and let us run our blog however we want. but you are allowed to tell us off if we are actually doing something bad like outright supporting that policeman or outright saying that this is no big deal.
Not reblogging or blogging about this on a role playing blog that is meant for others to enjoy reading or writing is nothing wrong at all. We are not personal blogs after all. We are here for our enjoyment in interacting with other roleplayers and threads and also shipping stuffs.
I am done. It’s already bad enough that I can’t write much and have exams this week, I also have to actually say something like this.
